Whether you decide to take a restful break or an active holiday, because of its position near Bruges this bed and breakfast is a perfect starting point for your stay in Flanders, the Flemish part of Belgium.

Also known as ‘The Woodland’, this region offers the perfect setting for both walkers and cyclists. It is within easy reach of a wide variety of tourist attractions such as the beautiful Belgian coast and medieval towns like Bruges and Ghent, both rich in Flemish history. Also close by are Ypres and 'Flanders Fields', the battlegrounds of the First World War.

Accommodation

Our three modern bedrooms are very comfortable and all have private bathrooms where you can enjoy a hydro-jet shower.
We also offer you a selection of 32 channels on T.V.-DVD, some of which are British. We believe in the highest comfort at the lowest price!

Bedrooms:- 1 twin bedded room,  1 double room,  1 room with double bed and adjoining twin bedded room. Free use of baby cot.

Breakfast

We offer a full 'continental' breakfast in our sunny breakfast room. With a pleasant countryside view it’s the ideal place to relax, enjoy breakfast and plan your day out in Flanders and Belgium.

5 Minutes away from Woodside B&B you will find Torhout, a market town in the middle of West-Flanders.
Wandering through its centre you’ll notice buildings from the 13^th century in different styles such as Flemish Baroque and Classicism.
You can take part in activities such as bowling, tennis, swimming, fitness and horse riding, or enjoy the tearooms, bistros or restaurants serving Belgian, Chinese, Greek, Italian or Egyptian food.

Places to visit

Bruge 15 minutes away:-  Whether in summer or winter, Bruge has something for everybody.The museums and the beautiful medieval architecture are world renowned. Its many canals, alleys and squares are an absolute delight, especially for those with romance in mind. Try a boat tour on the canals, a horse and carriage ride through the centre, browse through the many shops or simply relax and enjoy one of the many cafes and terraces.

The Belgian coast 20 minutes away:- is within easy reach by car or even by bicycle for the more energetic amongst us.
Ostend is probably the best known seaside-resort but also a visit to Blankenberge with its Pier, the harbour of Nieuwpoort or the fashionable and stylish Knokke is truly recommended. All have clean beaches, beautiful sand dunes and some wonderful terraces where you can sit, relax and watch the world go by. Especially in summer the coast offers a variety of entertainment.
Sea fishing trips are also available from Ostend and Nieuwpoort.
